I say I come for the chair, but it’s also for the hangout.

This year, I find myself often coming to the Kinder classrooms at the end of the day to finish my workday here.

The company is great. It’s something I’ve missed ever since I left the classroom. I love working with people near me.

They keep my brain active. They sometimes take advantage of my visits to ask great questions; they are so eager to learn more.

They make me laugh. Their interactions with their co-teacher, their internal jokes, their daily anecdotes. It’s just so refreshing to end my days in this atmosphere.

They share snacks. Chips, chocolate, pretzels. Crunch, crunch before we all head home.

I’m liking my end-of-day kindergarten visits. And I swear it’s not just for the comfy chair.
